Design for print and web/ ISTD/ Plantae Pantones initial designing

I thought a great way of being able to search a wide range of colours would be to have a colour hue, designspiration was ideal website which supplies this so i used the same design principle and applied it to planate pantone.

Here is a colour search diagram i drew, slightly different from the plant search diagram, in fact its just expanded to have more petals and a more colour. Its purpose is to look like a plant colour searcher.

The objective is to click on a colour and you get the pantone colour match, from this the plantae pantone colour system identifies a plant which is the closest pigment match.

It also supplies the viewer information about the plant identified, this may determine whether the user will add it to their swatch or try the next match, and if not suited by their findings choose another colour  from the suggestions panel or of their choice.
