Design for print and web/ ISTD/ Design direction pitch

Today i came to the realisation that i had full filled how i re-wrote the original 'Not just fleurons' brief, I have done a fare amount of research, explored with type and reflected that in my final result. However i feel like i am at a stand still with how to progress with the brief and how to explore more into the idea of print and web. I feel like the typographic piece was a good starting point however i need to produce something that is more informative as stated in my re-written brief.

I had a tutorial with Loraine i expressed to her how i was concerned about the amount of work i had and how to progress with it, as the deadline is approaching i need to have a strong idea and body of work to present in the presentation and for submission.

I pitched my thoughts to Lorainne to receive some feedback:

Typography

Typographic work is completed, digitalised, screen printed and ready to upload to after effects to make the motion type i had set out to do for my 'plantae' website.

Research

Areas of research i had looked into such as previous ISTD entries for 'Not just fleurons', inspirational type, primary research (images of floral patterns from clothing, stationary, packaging etc), what are plants, flower and botany? Facts about plants and botanical life, flower stucture and information on taking care of flowers, UK's most popular flowers, plants by region as well as motion type videos to show me examples for how i could develop my typeface on after effects.

Other research to consider

Artists and designers who use botany in their work, Cath Kidston, how to create a brand and identity for 'plantae'.

Print and web design and products

Website - 'Plantae' which is a information based website for female gardeners who are aged 30-55, and who are eager learn more about life in their garden.
Print -
1. A subscription magazine which includes planting plans, garden photography, the English garden, and how to 'get the look' in your garden.
2. A magazine which contains all the essentials to maintain a great looking garden such as tools, wooden signs, gloves, buckets, plant pots, bags, kneelos, watering cans etc.

After this Lorainne said the ideas where there however i need to consider my audience a lot more, and un pick who they really are as apposed to a vague number of female gardeners, i need to be more specific and the design approach will come easier afterwards.

Solving the problem of who my audience are?

Who are the audience -  House residents, apartment residents, suburban residents?

What kind of females - Women, single, married, mothers, live alone, have children, have children 18+?

What kind of gardening do they do - Allotments, casual gardeners, those who just weed, food gardeners, green gym people, those who do it for fitness, people who do it for hobbies, people who want to learn gardening, people who want teach others about gardening?

What to inform them about - Geographical plants by region, just British gardening, planting season, pot plants, garden plants, domesticated, wild flowers and weeds, poisoness plants, the art of gardening?

Why are they interested - For food, for purpose, for the look of their garden, plants for food, poisoness plants?

What are they looking for - What are they accessing information for, gardeners or not ?

What are they wanting to see or learn about - Medicinal plants, food plants, pretty plants?
