New concept:
Today Joel
introduced an idea to the group, to incorporate the idea of a jet set into more
of a board game, we believe this would be a lot more appealing to a wider
audience. The main idea is to create a small box or wallet type pack as a transportation
device which may also turn into runway, it being a large element of the game,
with in the pack there is an instructions manual on how to make a paper air
plane, how to fly it, and initially win the game.
This was
just a rough beginning idea we introduced in the crit with amber and jo

feedback left us a little puzzled, unsure where to take the idea, scrap it and
start again or re-think the concept, and what we could really do with the the ‘how
to’
We all went
away, and game up with a few new idea.

I have an
idea. Totally out of the box, but thats sort of what amber said to do also to go back
to research. So, i was thinking literally think of paper as a
messaging service (letter, fax, birthday cards etc), not as a toy, (just forget the jet set for a
second).
So..
The paper plane sends a message from a sender to a receiver. for a
certain reason.
Giving that a plane is a model that delivers, i
was thinking to take the literal concept and apply it to a relevant purpose and
make the material used, useful/ appropriate.
By sending a
message i mean, birthday wish, wedding invite, valentine card etc (so this
would be an unusual type of card to receive, but we could have different
designs for different messages)
Also this is going off amber's feedback
'crafting' it for a less obvious reason than for a toy
So then i was
thinking usually people keep track of all the dates important to them
(birthdays etc) on a calendar (written or digital)
Therefore some sort
of hand craft calender/ paper plane card folding/ message sender/i phone app.
