Design process/ responsive: Douwe Egberts progress crit

During the progress crit we were put into groups of five, myself, Steph, Nathan, Emily and Natalie were together. gladly the crit went well i pitched my concept o the group and received great feedback.
Below is the design direction boards i made.

Grades on the pitch: 5 = Excellent, 4 = Very good, 3 = Good, 2 = Average, 1 = poor

Feedback 1:
Clarity of concept 4/5
Breadth of ideas 4
Appropriateness of response 5
Contextual awareness 4
Analysis / understanding of audience 4
Level of innovation / originality 4
Quality / clarity of presentation 4

Areas for improvement
Maybe create a campaign based from heart imager and adapt campaign to interactive ideas, maybe an event or free promo home pack that includes details of why the coffee is homely. Could include posters, poems and coffee related things.

Additional comments
- Well designed presentation boards, clear and concise.
- Initial idea of a photograph of a person blowing love heart steam from a Douwe Egberts cup relates to something loveable, and something homely, would work well.
- The concept of the brief has been rewritten well and you understand how to address it.

Feedback 2:

Clarity of concept 4
Breadth of ideas 3
Appropriateness of response 4
Contextual awareness 4
Analysis / understanding of audience 3
Level of innovation / originality 4
Quality / clarity of presentation 3

Areas for improvement
- Visually show ideas that you have discussed.
- Show more evidence about the type of audience you are aiming at.
- Present less text - balance more with imagery.
- More research about how coffee is used currently in lifestyle of audience.
- Explore a few more ideas, other than just the photograph one.
- However the idea that you discussed is a really good way to approach the brief.
- You know the concept of the brief well and that will help you with your understanding.

Action plan:
If the love heart idea progresses, think about creating an event, a basket bundle, homely things, send outs to encourage people to buy the product, or a campaign.
Research recipes, packs, logos, love hearts. High light 'comfort'.
Think of things that you take home, tissues, magnets, mini things, presents, chocolates.
Hampers - catch could be buy more coffee jars to win seasonal hampers, homely, gifts, collectable things for a home.
See what starbucks and costa do for home ideas, how they approach the idea.
Think about branding and identity .
