Proverbally yours / Message and interpretation

For this brief we have to design a series of three posters, of which interpret a given proverb, mine being 'better late than never'.
The posters are to be designed to fit a A3 scale and 2:1 format.


I researched a definition meaning of the proverb 'better late than never' and found: 
-Doing something late is better than not doing it at all
-To arrive or to do something later than expected isn't good but better than not at all

I then started a mind map, generating ideas and working out what exactly the proverb means and how to visually communicate it. 'better late than never' seems pretty straight forward, however nothing responsive was coming to mind when i was trying to visualize the words with meaning.
