Collaborative - D&C/ Garden shoot

Emily and I thought it would be a good idea to do a test shoot in order to make ourselves feel comfortable using our cameras, and to familiarise ourselves at directing models. We decided to pick a select few of our girl friends for the shoot, as the concept we had in mind was 'vintage/ hippy/ festival'.

Given that our entire concept is built upon music we thought this would be an appropriate starting point at reflecting music, fashion and trends within imagery.

Models:

Kate
Nikki
Glenda
Meg
Amy

In preparation for the shoot myself and Emily bought a list of items, and recycled a reused pieces which would suit being in the photos, for example buntings, glitter, bubbles, different elements to make the photoshoot overall more fun.

I decided to bring some slr filters along to the shoot as they are visually effective and can make an image look more arresting whether it be through shape or colour.

Here are the contact sheets from the garden shoot where by we dressed the models in winter festival attire:

Followed by the images from the park shoot, where we dressed the girls in wacky festival clothing, and instructed them to have a powder paint fight inspired by festival fun.
