Firstly we went to an obvious place in Hyde Park to take photos of people doing everyday things, the focus of these images wasn't to capture people on bikes and skate boards it was more to get us more confident at approaching individuals in their own environment.
Here are a few snaps:
Whilst we were walking around city centre we though it was best to approach people and ask them if they were okay to have their photo taken, this individual we were photography was happy enough so we thought lets improve our people skills by chatting to people and making them feel comfortable with us photographing them.
To gather our ideas Emily and i decided to take a break and make some notes to generate a specific theme.
As me and Emily are both keen to create an image which reflects contemporary youth culture we though a great way of doing this would be to portray it through music. We want to create work that shows a cultural experience not only for others but even for ourselves.
We are part of culture at a milestone in our youth, so perhaps concentrating on ourselves and our peers as apposed to strangers we might produce some effective and conceptual work.
Our brainstorms started whilst having a bite to eat, looking round our surroundings gave us ideas and inspirational direction.
