Design for print: Packaging task/ final designs and crit

During the design development stages i knew i wanted to design something quite simple, the idea was to just incorporate the logo onto the design and arrange it in a mosaic like manor, i wanted the packaging to have a repetition look about it as well as to look aesthetically pleasing.

The reason for the simple black and white colour pallete was so that when the white text was printed, it would appear clear and show the texture and colour of the paper. I chose the stock before i designed, initially i liked the idea of tanned and black rusty look, how ever i wish i had experimented a little more with colour arrangements first.

Final product:

Concept crit feedback:

Strengths
- Well executed, neat nets and folding
-All products hold well together as a set
- Good stock
- Simple design but it stands out
- Interesting manipulation of logo, still obviously ZARA
- Great mock ups
- Obvious the logo is ZARA even though the type is muddled
- Reverse colour work well as a series
- Would be well placed in store yet its still recognisable in store

Areas for improvement
- Limited techniques
- Foiling would look good on the products
- Could be more adventurous with nets and cut outs

Considerations
- Any specific print techniques such as foil/ emboss/ spot varnish
