Design for print and web/ ISTD/ Gallery initial designing

The gallery page has a similar layout to the Plantae Pantone page due to their being a selection of images on here.

Below is the design of how the gallery scroll look, a continues change of images which would be uploaded by registers users of the website, its purpose is to show the art of gardening through colour, image, photography and sharing much like other sharing websites such as pinterest, tumblr, facebook, twitter, instagram etc.

When the user clicks on an image a box appears stating what the plant is, hashtags of its characteristics and an option to favourite the photo, this kind of interaction allows none registered viewers to see the option of what is available on the site and will encourage them to join to be part of the communicating and sharing circle.

Here is the starting point of the design i made for the gallery search logo whcih was inspired by the colour wheel.

Although i liked the design i thought it was best suited on the Plantae Pantone page as that pages concept was all about colour.

Overall i'm pleased with this page, it does exactly what it should and look visually appealing, i'm glad i chose to incorporate elements of photography instead of vector designing throughout the full website as this adds reality to it. In general i'm happy with the photos i produced too, the originals were sources from the gardeners world website, which i then edited to make look stylised for the gallery.
